pia deals with architecture and believes that the value of the project lies in the coherence and solidity of the reasoning that structures it.
pia believes that Architecture is the material or immaterial product of the application of infinite tools to achieve a purpose. It is independent of the function but not of the context. Everything is instrumental, usable and useful for the production of architecture, nothing is essential except for its concreteness, be it built, imagined or simply represented.
pia founders are Alessandro Perotta and Valeria Iberto so the name is the acronym of “perotta iberto architetti”.
Choosing means establishing discussion for this reason pia joins collaborations with several other practices and believes that sharing the work, especially now a days, is a fundamental value.
Alessandro e Valeria are both ligurian, both born in 1983 and both graduated in architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of Genoa.
Valeria in 2016 has achieved the PhD in architecture.
They have been involved in numerous teaching activities at the Polytechnic School of Genoa and at the Domus Academy as well as in several international workshops.
Alessandro from 2020 is a member of the board of the "Fondazione dell'ordine Architetti di Genova".
